The lavender garden of the Prónay Castle, with its 800 plants, is open for a lavender harvest at the end of June and beginning of July.

Who would guess that the woods near Alsópetény harbour a spice that is considered a valuable gastronomic speciality, namely truffles. A qualified truffle hunter and his dog will introduce our guests to the secrets of the thrilling truffle hunting. Of course, the tasting will be a part of the programme too, as our chef will prepare delicious dishes from the harvest.

We bring Badacsony to Nógrád, as the wines presented at our degustations come from the vineyard of the Prónay Castle’s owner family.
The 3.5 hectare vineyard of the Csendes Dűlő Vineyard, located on the upper part of the Örsi Hill, has been under the care of its owners for almost half a century. 
The estate, which prides itself on one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Badacsony wine region, has won prestigious national and international awards for its Welschriesling, Pinot Gris, Hárslevelű and Kéknyelű grapes grown on its basalt soils.

A selection of artisanal cheeses to accompany the wine tasting together with fruits and nuts. Also available in English.

There is a unique wildlife park on the outskirts of Nógrád, unlike any other near or far. Guests are taken into the forest by tractor, where they can climb up to a wildlife watchtower and get up close to hundreds of animals living in the park.
(The 1.5-hour programme starts two hours before dusk.)

Young painter Zsóka László introduces the participants to the world of watercolour.
No previous experience is required to participate in the programme. During the workshop one is able to completely switch off and focus only on the creative process. 
The indicated price is applicable for 10 persons and includes the raw material and the picture frame.

Hava István, Multiple award-winner in Dublin, creator of the Fűtőház Brewery in Rétság, puts quality first in every beer he brews. Using exclusively high quality ingredients - German, Belgian, American, Slovenian - he creates first class products in his family business. 

Everything has a history, a past, a tradition, including beer. Beer historian Katona Csaba will give a standup presentation on the relationship between Hungarian literature and beer.

The workshop participants will learn about the history of chocolate, taste special chocolates and, with the help of the master chocolatiers, make their own bonbon to take home.

Forest therapy is not complicated, the walk is not long. Instead, we focus on experiencing the natural environment
around us with all five senses, slowing down through guided relaxation and experiencing the healing power of
silence.
The programme can be complemented with a local history walk.

It is worth venturing outside the area of ​​Prónay Castle during your stay with us, as Alsópetény and its surroundings hide many natural wonders. You can indulge in numerous leisure activities, as the surrounding hills and forests offer excellent terrain for lovers of hiking, cycling or Nordic walking.
