Below we have collected the most common questions couples usually ask:
Exclusivity – Can there be another wedding at the same time/on the same day, or will the venue be exclusively ours?
Exclusive use applies to the event hall, the hotel rooms, the Main Castle, and the castle park for a period of 12 hours starting from the welcome reception.
What is included in the venue rental fee?
The price includes furniture (round or long tables for dinner, cocktail tables for the reception, beige banquet chairs), equipment for serving food, buffet table, drink station, built-in projector and screen, air-conditioning, and on-site coordination.
Decoration is not included.
Are there any local rules or restrictions in place?
Yes. The use of artificial petals, confetti, or any non-biodegradable materials in the park is prohibited, as well as the use of smoke machines or any indoor spark-producing devices.
What parking options are available?
Our closed parking lot accommodates 22 cars free of charge, and additional safe parking is available in front of the building.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes.
Do you offer discounts for weekday dates or off-season periods?
To make these months more attractive for couples, we often provide additional services that make weddings more unique, or offer a reduced fee instead of the full price. Our venue rental fees are tiered, taking weekdays, high season, and shoulder season into account.
When do we need to provide the final guest count?
The number of guests can be reduced up to 14 days before the wedding dinner, but not below 90% of the contracted guest number.
How long can we stay at the venue?
The rental fee covers 12 hours from the welcome reception. Extensions are possible on-site for an additional fee.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements (lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc.)?
Yes, our kitchen is prepared to provide vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, or other special meals. Please notify us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
Can we bring the wedding cake and pastries?
Yes, you may bring your own wedding cake, provided it complies with HACCP standards and the required food safety documentation is provided.
Are there discounts for children’s meals?
Yes, we provide the following discounts:
- 0–3 years: free food and beverage service
- 4–12 years: 70% of the ordered food and beverage services’ price
Can we hold the civil ceremony at the venue?
Yes. A registrar must be present for a legal civil marriage. The registrar responsible for Alsópetény is happy to conduct the ceremony at our venue, and we provide the contact details.
Is there a church nearby for the religious ceremony?
Yes, the Church of St. Stephen the King is only a few minutes’ walk from the venue.
Is it possible to show a short film or slideshow?
Yes, a built-in projector and screen (with HDMI cable and sound system) are available free of charge.
What is the latest date we can modify our booking?
The guest count can be reduced up to 14 days before the wedding date.
